Creativity, Collaboration and Craft

We’ll strive with you to “C” things together.

Douglas started his career as a NYC photographer’s apprentice, eventually earning positions on international shoots for Vogue. His first editorial break was an exclusive month-long tour of Japan photographing backstage for American Ballet Theater. Douglas later returned to live in Hong Kong where he produced & directed TV commercials and brand building travel videos for Cathay Pacific Airlines before becoming the Creative Director for the design and construction of Voyager, an interactive nightclub featuring flight & submarine simulators on Hong Kong harbor.

Returning to NYC, Douglas worked at Academy Award winning creative think-tank RG/A-NY, eventually leaving to photograph, write a book on auto racing legends Michael and Mario Andretti, after which he joined co-operative ownership of a four-floor 7,000 sq.ft. digital photo consortium on Fifth Avenue. Major brand development projects for Sony, L’Oreal and Microsoft culminated in a national “best-interactive campaign” Andy award for Levi’s and were creatively offset with major editorial backstage projects for American Ballet Theater, The Grateful Dead, and the 7th on 6th Fashion Runway shows.

In 2009 Douglas formed Monbusi, a Singapore based start-up specializing in premium product and lifestyle branding. Five years of developing and managing Monbusi’s premium F&B portfolio has identified clear cross-marketing opportunities and established a foundation of reliable relationships. In 2013 on behalf of Monbusi, Carver Digital began accepting creative brand strategy assignments from outside clients. Drawing from Douglas’s exceptional international experience and creative community contacts, Carver Digital offers unique development strategies that emphasize market relevancy and brand enrichment.
